Week 7 Patriots vs Bears: Who gets the game ball for New England’s 38-31 win?

The New England Patriots did not play a perfect game against the Chicago Bears but were still able to secure their first road win of the season. The 38-31 victory saw plenty of memorable moments and performances – and three of them are up for today’s game ball vote:

QB Tom Brady

While a late-game interception hurt his final stat-line, Tom Brady still played a great contest against one of the NFL’s best defenses. Overall, he finished the day with 25 completions on 36 attempts for 277 yards with three touchdowns and the aforementioned pick. The 41-year old was patient in the pocket and able to deliver some perfect passes all game long, spreading the football around well in the process. It was a typical Brady day.

OT Trent Brown

The Bears entered the game with one of the NFL’s best pass rushes – led by one Mr. Khalil Mack: the group averaged 3.6 sacks over its first five games. Against New England, however, it was able to register only one quarterback takedown as the offensive line had another very good outing. Led by left tackle Trent Brown, who completely made star linebacker Khalil Mack disappear and represents the group in this vote, the Patriots’ blockers played a big role in the team’s win.

RB James White

After workhorse running back Sony Michel went down with what appeared to be a serious knee injury, James White was asked to pick up the slack – and the 26-year old did just that. Serving not only as the Patriots’ receiving back, he finished the day with 11 carries for 40 yards as well as eight catches for 57 yards and two scores. At this point, one is tempted to call it a typical day at the office for White; one of the NFL’s top running backs.

With all that in mind, who is your choice for this week’s game ball?
